Grow Mineral Vein Survey puzzle

Field copy · Free puzzle · iPhone and iPad

See the vein before the ink sets.

Grow Mineral Vein is a quiet logic puzzle. Each slab hides chambers and a handful of nuclei. Tap a nucleus and a faint blue path shows exactly where that vein will grow. Confirm it, and the dashed blue becomes solid black ink. The preview is the true outcome. The puzzle is deciding which nucleus to use, and when.

20 hand-built sites True preview Three lives Ink on cream paper Age 4+ Contains advertising
A sample opening slab in the game’s ink. Blue marks the nucleus under consideration and the path it will take. Black is ink already committed.

One nucleus. One true path.

Nothing in a move is left to chance. You read the blue line, then you decide whether that vein belongs in the rock.

  1. 01 · Preview

    Tap the nucleus

A faint blue path draws the exact route that vein will take. Study it against the chambers still open. The ink has not moved yet.

  2. 02 · Activate

    Set the ink

Confirm, and the dashed blue becomes solid black. That growth is now part of the slab. Later nuclei have to live with it.

  3. 03 · Order

    Change the rock

Some veins stop short. Some nuclei absorb others. A chamber can be sealed off for good if the obvious path goes first. A slab can look finished and already be lost.

Twenty sites, three regions.

The survey is hand-built: slabs with two nuclei, then slabs with as many as nine. New ideas arrive slowly, then share the same rock.

  1. Granite Ridge

One of the three regions on the listing. Sites here are part of the same twenty-slab survey, drawn in the same black ink on cream paper.

  2. Basalt Flats

The second region named beside Granite Ridge. Nuclei still preview in blue before any vein is allowed to set.

  3. Slate Quarry

The third region named on the store page. It uses the same rules: preview in blue, confirm in black, and three flags for the lives on that site.

Flags, par, and a quiet page.

The screen is black linework on cream survey paper. Ink blue is the only color in the puzzle itself. Results land as rubber stamps. Pause opens like a field notebook: resume, restart the site, or open the survey map.

  • Par

    Fewest activations

Every level has a survey rating. Three marks mean a perfect network grown with the fewest activations. The slab shows a par beside the activation count so you can see that standard while you work.

  • Ideas

    What later slabs add

Decoys, truncated veins, absorption, traps, and protected chambers. They are introduced one at a time, then stacked.

  • Record

    What the survey keeps

Lifetime figures cover veins grown, perfect networks, and levels cleared. The puzzle does not offer hints.

Printed on the listing.

How a session feels

There is no account in the store description. You open a site, preview a nucleus, and live with the ink.

  • No luck in the preview. The blue path is the vein you will get if you activate that nucleus.
  • Order is the difficulty. An early vein can close a chamber that a later nucleus needed.
  • Free, with ads. The age block says the app contains advertising. The privacy record restates the data label.
